IBEC's Broadband-over-Powerline (BPL)

IBEC partners with electric utilities to provide BPL services via the power lines and then uses a BPL modem to deliver Internet access to your computer at data rates comparable to or greater than those of DSL and cable modems. And since there are no new wires to install, setup is simple and easy. In addition, IBEC offers the option of using Wi-Fi to deliver the broadband connection to your PC, for those who desire the ease and mobility of wireless networking.

Because IBEC uses the power lines to deliver broadband, our solutions are able to serve customers wherever there is electrical power. Unlike DSL or cable, IBEC BPL is available anywhere a broadband partnership exists between IBEC and your local electric utility, and often with the added convenience of having your Internet service added directly to your monthly electric bill.
